2019年7月20日-22日の3日間、建築家 Jimenez Lai を迎えたワークショップが、慶應義塾大学SFCのURBAN RESEARCH LAB主催で行われました。本研究室のメンバーに加え、東京大学の隈研究室、早稲田大学の古谷研究室の学生が参加しました。

品川区大井町エリアを観察・分析し、魅力的な要素をデフォルメ化 ( Laiによると『モンスター化』)することで、新たな都市開発ヴィジョンのきっかけを探りました。2日目からは５つのチームに分かれ、全長10mの1:50模型と、各々の切り口と建築提案をまとめたパンフレットを作成していきました。最終日はゲストクリティーク、地元の方をお招きした展示会および講評会を開き、様々な議論が飛び交いました。

A three-day workshop with architect Jimenez Lai was held from July 20-22, 2019, hosted by Keio University SFC’s URBAN RESEARCH LAB. In addition to members of our lab, students from Kuma Lab. of the University of Tokyo and Furuya Lab. of Waseda University participated in the event.

On the second day, we were divided into five teams and made a 10-meter-long 1:50 model and a pamphlet that summarized each team’s ideas and architectural proposals. On the last day, we held an exhibition and critique session with guest critiques and local people, and various discussions took place.
